Our Team

All employees must love animals in order to work here. We do not hire teenagers for minimum wage who would rather be somewhere else.

Kyle

Founder & CEO

ABC Certified Dog Trainer

I grew up around dogs my entire life. I used to be terrified of them believe it or not. I never understood dog behavior or their value in a person's life until I was almost thirty. I had a difficult time separating from the military and I found significant healing through my husky Phillip. I see now that dogs are a gift, sometimes even life-saving. I became obsessed with fostering dogs in need over the last few years. So much so that in my spare time I decided to be come a certified dog trainer to help my fosters find homes. Unfortunately last year Phillip was diagnosed with cancer and we lost him shortly after in January 2025, he was only five years old. This made me reflect on how I needed to spend my time and this business is the product of my grieving process. Your dogs will be treated like my own while in our care, that I can guarantee.

Victoria

General Manager

Hi! I’m Victoria, the General Manager here at Feels Like Home Dog Daycare & Boarding. I’m all about making sure every dog who walks through our doors feels safe, loved, and genuinely at home. With years of experience as a trusted pet sitter and a long history of fostering and rehabilitating rescue dogs, I’ve learned how to support all kinds of personalities, from the shy pups to the high-energy goofballs. My nursing background and time in the Navy helped me develop the calm, organized, and attentive approach that help keep our business running smoothly and safely. I really love getting to know pet parents, supporting our amazing team, and creating a warm, comfortable space where dogs can play, relax, and just be themselves.

Veronica

Dog Enrichment Specialist

From rescuing tarantulas stranded on the street to building habits for praying mantises, Veronica has spent her entire life helping animals live better lives. More recently, she served as a volunteer at the San Diego Humane Society. For years, she ensured dogs and cats had safe and clean kennels and lots of delicious enrichment (so much cheese!) while they waited for their forever homes. After SDHS, Veronica worked at Helen Woodward Animal Center in Del Mar, where she built upon her dog and cat care skills and gained a lot of valuable experience handling animals of all temperaments and personalities. These days, Veronica spends her time taking her rescue dog, Freyja, to Fiesta Island or cuddling on the couch while one of them sleeps and the other reads (Freyja is very learned).
